It’s time for another guest post! Our friend Megan picked up this gorgeous bottle of pinot grigio at Trader Joe’s and had a glowing recommendation:

This wine is easy drinking and pairs nicely with the TJs balsamic rosemary steak tips! It’s very smooth, with pear and melon notes, and not much citrus. It stands up well to spiced and spicy dishes, and has the perfect amount of dryness. It would definitely pair well with Moroccan food!

So as the weather heats up and we can maaaaybe start venturing out to the parks again (please stay 6 feet away from each other!), this sounds like the perfect choice. Thank for the recommendation, Megan!

*And yes she took that amazingly gorgeous photo! Check out more of Megan’s amazing photography skills at meganbagaman.com.

Now time for a fun winery spotlight. We’re often asked what wineries we enjoy going to most often in Napa and Sonoma. And I have a feeling once shelter-in-place is lifted, Wine Country trips are going to be on the top of everyone’s bucket list (invite me, please!).

Cuvaison is a beautiful winery located in Los Carneros, with a gorgeous wrap-around patio that overlooks a stunning view of the property (including a lake!). Even though we had an indoor table for our tasting, the glass doors to the patio open all the way, allowing us to have that indoor-outdoor vibe and soak up that sunshine. They're known for their Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays--I liked the reds more than the whites (tastings include 5 wines and are complimentary for up to 4 people if one of you is a member!) but other people in my group definitely found the Chardonnay refreshing and perfect for the warm weather. If you’re feeling fancy, you can even splurge for the cheese pairing to get a little snack in. Tastings are by appointment only, and I’m assuming that will continue once they’ve reopened, but it’s totally worth it to call them up! Head’s up that this isn’t the best place for large groups, so save this for a double-date instead.

*pourchoices is not affiliated with Cuvaison and did not receive any perks or incentive to write this review. I just think it’s a kick-ass winery that deserves some love.
