WHAT’S UP, FANS?

It’s the other sister taking a break from being Senior Creative Director of the blog to guest write. So buckle up, you’re in for a treat.

We can’t resist a good Nor Cal cab sav, and this one did not disappoint. The second I opened this wine I was hit with a wave of delicious fruit and immediately noticed a bold cherry flavor.

The color is a fabulous deep burgundy that makes me think this wine takes care of itself and never skips leg day at the gym. She’s the basic b at the gym who takes selfies in the mirror but it’s okay because she’s ripped as hell #nofilter #gains

From the first sip, I knew we had a winner. The cherry is prominent on the front but is wrapped in soft flavors of spice on the back to create a well-balanced and versatile wine. What spice do I taste? No freaking idea but I know it’s there! My sister said “it tastes like vanilla doused in Tabasco sauce.” UM, EW? Get out of my post, poser!

After taking a look at the label, I was able to confirm the cherry flavor (VICTORY!) While the label also mentions chocolate (so **not** vanilla, silly sister), I knew I was tasting more spice flavors.

Bound and determined to confirm my “spicy” suspicion, I googled the crap out the wine and found that Fetzer describes this vintage as having a “deep ruby hue and engaging aromas of dark berries, spice, violets and cassis.” Idk what the hell cassis is but I got my spice confirmation! Just like that girl at the gym with her #gains, never give up, friends!

The Fetzer website is cute AF and their “About” section details their investment in sustainable farming methods. You’ll help save the environment by drinking this wine, so down the hatchet it goes.
