“Easy like a Sunday Morning”

Price at Purchase: $6.81

Location: Safeway

This is a bottle that will make you wish it was always “Wine O’Clock” somewhere. For us, we waited until an appropriate time last Sunday to crack this b open, but you go on right ahead. Just like Vegas and airports, there are no rules in quarantine, so you do you.

Ignore the ugly bottle designwhoever chose this bright blue color scheme was seriously disturbed—and instead focus on gorgeous white wine in your glass. It’s is fairly traditional savvy b, and at this price point, I consider it a win.

As expected, this wine is a good mix of citrus and what wine snobs call “green flavors” (fresh cut grass, green pepper, lime, and jalapeño). So don’t be shocked by the translucent green tint of the wine—it’s supposed to do that. Jumbled in with all of that flavor is some lemon rind, Asian pear, melon, and cantaloupe. So while there’s a lot happening with each taste, it manages to stay fairly mild instead of overbearing. In fact, it’s impressively neutral but flavorful at the same time. What witchcraft is this?!?

This is a perfect white wine to be the base of a sangria. No matter the fruits you choose to include, the wine will highlight that essence. And you won’t break the bank when your friends keep asking you to refill the pitcher. Because the happiest of hours always include sangria, no matter what time it actually is.
